Has anyone had any trouble ordering their A-Spec suspension kit from the dealer? I know they're available on Ebay and various other places, but I'd prefer to have the dealer install and warranty it... only problem is... my dealer told me that their parts and service department have no information on the A-Spec suspension kit, including when it may become available. He said that they have the info for the TL and RL, but not the TSX... :bs:

I could've sworn that one dealer in NYC had it --- I live in NJ... that's only a hop, skip, and a jump away, eh?

Has anyone installed the A-Spec suspension themselves? Is it difficult for someone that's never done one before? Since the kit includes the the coil springs and the struts, I imagine it's straight bolt-on?

It's straight bolt-on; the new struts are already built. The kit even comes with instructions including torque values.

Last year when I installed my A-Spec, my wife and I had a three month old, and it was very busy at work, so I just had no time to do it. (Anyone with a baby will know what I'm talking about :D.) I paid the dealer $300 to do it.

This year, I have a little more free time, so when I put on my Tein Flex coilovers, I decided to do it myself, and it went very quickly (the Flexes are built as well). I got it done leisurely in an afternoon, including the Comptech rear sway. It helps a lot to have a second person to start the nuts from the top, but you could use a jack from the bottom to hold them in place. A lot of people are concerned about rear seat removal; it's not the rear seat but the seat bottom, which comes out with one bolt, and then one more bolt to remove each rear side bolster. Maybe two minutes-very easy.

My local dealer wanted full msrp for the a-spec part ($800) and about $500 to install ($1,300 total) so I passed completely and purchased aspec, rear sway and icebox from Acura of Escondido. Parts and labor for all 3 were less than what Acura wanted to charge for just the suspension.

A of E were great to deal with, quick, responsive, overnighted a backordered rear sway from CompTech directly and also combined/waived some shipping charges for all 3 anyway.

Now of course, I had an outside shop do the install so I now might have an issue with warranty, but I'll be bringing in to Acura for regular service, getting alignment and feeling them out on what would happen if I should run into any problems. But hopefully it will never come up.
