Gee where do I begin with the 04 that I have had for a week now?

Passenger Axle replaced, passenger front window intermittently doesnt work, console lights dont work (radio, a/c, seat heater light for drivers side and passenger map light are all OUT), tail light filled with water, trunk leaking (hopefully related to the light), rust in the trunk water channel, drivers side side skirt falling off, rattles inside the cabin, drivers side door panel falling off at the bottom (pocket).

The light issue is probably the PCB on the radio, but sadly the stealership near me wants $380 to replace it LOL!! no thanks ill do it myself in a week or two.

Even at 127k miles this stupid light issue should be covered under warranty regardless of mileage or age if it was major enough for a class action lawsuit.

2007 acura tsx with 160,000 miles

I'm looking to buy a new tsx, I found a 2007 with 160,000 miles. I just feel a little sketchy on the mileage, and I'm going to be going on a 600 mile road trip an was wondering if anybody knew if the car could make it. It's an auto tranny, 2.4 vtech, with 160,000 miles, the guy wants $6700, any advice is appreciated thanks!!

Sounds like a lot of money for a car with that many miles to me, but I haven't checked what they usually sell for.

You definitely want to have a mechanic thoroughly examine a car with that many miles before you buy it. It could be in great shape, or in need of extensive repairs.

Thats actually average I would say. I've seen them go for more money at that mileage simply because of the year. But it should be thoroughly inspected anyway.

If I have had 0 problems since I got the car in 2006, can I backdate to previous months/years and improve those stats as well?

The thing that makes this survey better than others is...no backdating :)

We don't include anything that happened (or didn't happen) before members join, as this might distort the results.

Anybody else have their power steering fail around 100k? Mine did ($2400) literally a week after i bought the car with 107k on the clock. I got them to cover half though thankfully. I read online it was a bit of a problem for 1st gen. Mine is an 06.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the TSX now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

2008 TSX: 35, low, small sample size
2007 TSX: 33, low, small sample size
2006 TSX: 30, low
2005 TSX: 66, low, small sample size
2004 TSX: 83, moderate

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2006 TSX: 74, < 1

Additional participants would be very helpful. Next updates in August and November.

Our reliability stats for the TSX now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

Repair trips per 100 cars:

2008 TSX: 31, low, small sample size
2007 TSX: 49, low, small sample size
2006 TSX: 41, low
2005 TSX: 89, moderate, small sample size
2004 TSX: 71, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2006 TSX: 64, < 1

If a model year's sample size is small, then we especially need more owners involved.

We've updated our reliability stats for the TSX to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:

2008 TSX: 21, low, small sample size
2007 TSX: 42, low, small sample size
2006 TSX: 30, low
2005 TSX: 72, moderate, small sample size
2004 TSX: 32, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2006 TSX: 73, < 1

No stat, or a small sample size? Then we especially need more owners involved for that model year.

We've updated our reliability stats for the TSX to include owner experiences through June 30, 2016.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year (lower is better):

2008 TSX: 26, low, small sample size
2007 TSX: 37, low, small sample size
2006 TSX: 42, low
2005 TSX: 92, moderate, small sample size
2004 TSX: 62, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

2006 TSX: 68, < 1

As always, additional participants would be very helpful, especially for years with small sample sizes.
