So my air bag light has been in for like a year but I never took it on. The one thing I noticed though is the seat belt light would not come on if I didn't have my seat belt on also but just recently after my car was repaired the seatbelt light now turns on and beeps and I also still have this light on. Any ideas what could be the cause and the fix to this issue??

You have to check your SRS error code. They are different from ODBII codes and cannot be scanned with normal ODBII scanners. You either go to a dealer - they will charge you for diagnostics and try to clear an error - it works sometimes, or you can try to read it and clear it by yourself if you dare. I did this on my Accord and I'm pretty sure it's the same for TSX. All you need is a paperclip.
Check this links - to read a code -
To clear a code - there are a lot of info on Internet, for instance check out this topic - http://cl.*********.com/forums/showthread.php?t=742517
Also, your airbags are OFF if you your SRS light is ON, meaning they won't deploy in accidents.

My air bag light has been coming on recently and I've noticed that it's an issue with my seat belt sensor. When you unbuckle your seat belt, a red warning light is supposed to come on in the gauges, to let you know you're not buckled in. However, recently, sometimes when I unbuckle, the red light won't come on. Then, a couple seconds later, my orange air bag light comes on. To clear this, I have buckle back in, then unbuckle and hope the red seat belt light comes on. If it doesn't, I have to keep buckling and unbuckling until it does come on. After it comes on, I just have to turn the car off and turn it back on and the orange air bag light is gone. I've heard dealerships will replace the seat belt sensor for free but I haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Just take it in to Acura. It is a problem with a sensor in the seatbelt and they fix it for free. I had mine in like 3 weeks ago.
Hey Guys, new to the site. :newbie:

I just called my local dealer for this same issue and was told Acura stopped fixing this under the seatbelt warrenty or the SRS warrenty as of 6 months ago. They (Acura) now say it's an electrical sensor failure and is covered like any other electrical part on the car. The dealer gave me a customer relations number for Acura to see if I can get any assistance that way. I called Acura and was told the exact same thing--not covered. The guy looked up a recall for the car--no recall, then basically said it's not covered and wanted to get off the phone.

I've been a pretty loyal fan of Acura for a while but this kind of treatment is starting to turn me away. :bye:

The dealer service fees are crazy expensive for all things Acura too. Good thing I do most of my own work. :finger: Acura

I have a hard time believing that... that sensor will prevent your airbag from deploying in a crash... thats a big deal for Acura to split hairs with what system it falls under. Mine does the same thing and I was told it is a covered repair as long as it is the seatbelt sensor causing the fault. They did say that there are two different things that can make that light go off... one is covered and one is not, so maybe thats what they were trying to say. Sometimes I unbuckle the belt and the seatbelt light does not come on, which causes a fault when you turn off the car, then back on again, disabling the air bags. So the covered part should be the seat belt sensor.

Yeah, I was surprised to hear it too but it's the truth.

Acura obviously prepped the service people at the dealers too because they have identical responses:

"The seatbelt warranty covers mechanical breakage of the seatbelt and latch assemblies only, it does not cover SRS sensors that are in the seatbelt assemblies, because those are SRS parts, not seatbelt parts".

I doubt they will be responsible for any injuries related to the SRS failing to deploy because the driver was warned with the malfunction light and has opted not to get it repaired because it was not under warranty.

I did some basic troubleshooting and found the problem is in the driver seatbelt latch. Every once in a while, when the seatbelt is unbuckled, the seatbelt light fails to illuminate, indicating a poor contact in the switch mechanism of the sensor. Repeated latching and unlatching in rapid succession along with some wiggling of the seatbelt while latched has seemed to cure the problem for now. This tells me the contact is just dirty--had a similar problem with a clutch lever switch on my ZX-12R. Two security torx screws hold the latch housing in place. I'm thinking of cracking it open to clean the switch. If the light continues to intermittently illuminate, I'll replace the latch assembly myself (it's only sold as an assembly--the switch can't be purchased separately)--it's around $60 online.
