When i accelerate hard, am I supposed to feel anything? It just feels like any other car accelerating to 7000 rpm (smooth). I was told that the i-VTEC and lift was supposed to give you an extra push or pop at around 6000 rpm. All I get is smooth acceleration (no push or pop) all the way to 7000 rpm. Is this normal? Thank You!!!!!

Actually this is quite the opposite, i-VTEC engines are specifically designed to be a smooth powerband transition in and out of VTEC all the way to redline when compared with the DOHC VTEC design. Of course, the effect of the transition is still there but it's not as "clear felt" when compared with the DOHC VTECs.

Try an Integra Type R or Civic Si for example, when VTEC kicks in. It's an amazing experience. Nothing like what the i-VTECs feel like.

ROFLMAO!

you remind me a friend that I just met. He drives a RSX-S and he told me that the car is very fast at around 4000-5000 rpm. He had the car for more than a year and still haven't tried the last stage vtec on his car yet... lol

You usually feel the Cam Switch (i-VTEC) more on cars that have low Torque (Civic Si/Integra Type-R)..the power band on the TSX is alot smoother. Adding a Cold Air Intake will bring out the beast! if u want to "hear" it. "whaaaaaaaaaaaaWHAAAAAA".. the "WHAAAAAA" is really quick though!.. phuckin 7,100rpm sh!t
