Hey guys I was just looking through the forums and what not. And I was wondering if anybody had any experience in taking a TSX from an Automatic to a Manual, or if it is even possible. I already have plans to put some new rims/tires and Tein SS Coilovers on my car.

If this is possible how much would it cost to do it? I would imagine a 3-5k. But I have no clue.

Thanks for any help,
Tyler

Old pic of the car when I first got it, windows are tinted now but that's about it.

True, but I feel like if I were to sell my car I wouldn't buy another TSX. Probably would buy a 350z. Was just wondering how much it would cost. And seeing as buying another car would be the cheaper option so to say I think I will just stick out having an automatic haha.

Yeah this is my first car so after 3 years of owning I want to change it up a bit. So I decided to start savin' up for a little project, new rims and some Coilovers to give it a more sinister look. Gonna get it repainted next summer. Already done some research and asked some questions on here and that project is gonna run around 2200 bucks. Which is just about what I was willing to spend on something like this.

You would need 6 speed trans including shifter , pedal assembly , linkage , clutch master cylinder , all mounting hardware and a 6 speed ecu with matching ignition and keys ( could be wrong though ) i think the chassis mounting points are there all you would need is the parts , someone jump in and correct me if im wrong , im most likely missing parts as well but those are just the major components that i listed , oh and i think you would need to do some electrical swapping / modding to go from AT to MT , im no mechanic so dont quote me on any of this , im just guessing all this from my experience with cars . its 100% dooable , but it will take time , effort , and some $$$ to get the parts , if youre anywhere near Peabody Mass. you can contact VinVestors on the forum , he'll hook you up and his prices are really good , if you cant drive down to meet up with him he can ship but shipping a trans and all those components might cost you additional $100-$300 or somewhere between that. i hope i answered some of your questions and good luck with your adventure :p

Yeah kinda just wanted to know how much it would cost, seems like it would be a better idea to just look into a new car or just stick with the one i got. Trying to upgrade it visually at the moment, just gotta pay off this damn speeding ticket.

It is certainly doable, but I could never understand why anyone in their right mind would do it if it's just a stock tranny. If you're racing and it's some other tranny swap, then ok, but it's just not worth it. I'd say what, 2-5K just for the transmission parts, then on top of that if you're paying someone to do it, another 2K or so for labor.
