I'm looking at some smaller batteries to switch out my OEM one. It's the original one so I'm sure it's going to crap out on my one of these days. Anyways, in an attempt to kill 2 birds with one stone, I'm getting a small/light weight one to make the engine bay look a little cleaner. I'm also going to be running kind of a "custom" intake and the extra space will probably be needed to make it fit.

So I need some recommendations...

Some I have in mind:
Odyssey PC680 (heard some issues with this one)
Braille B2015 or B2618 or even the B3121

If your looking for smaller and lighter check out kinetik. I have had a larger kinetik for over 4 years now and purchased it second hand. I believe the HC800 might be exactly what your looking for.

hmm, The HC800 doesn't look bad but the website doesn't show that many specs. I need something as close to the OEM battery as possible in terms of performance. Maybe the HC1200 might do the trick

Thanks for the link, I'll look into it. I have no idea what the CCA is for the OEM battery and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I just need something that saves a little space while retaining around 400-ish CCA for the colder temps of WA.

Do you've got a full size battery not a slim one?
The maintenance manual states the petrol model to use 36-45 Ah batteries which are slim batteries and for the diesel to use large batteries 59-70Ah

But I couldn't find in the manual any info about the CCA value for the battery?
Where from comes that info to use batteries with certain CCA values?
