Ok, so I have my phone hooked up with the bluetooth feature in my CL9 but although it works with my phone for my phone calls I can't listen to the music on my phone via bluetooth even though it's hooked up. Is anyone else able to listen to their music through their phones (I have Android) via the bluetooth? Thanks for any help in advance. BTW I have searched and I couldn't find anything and I have the owners manual for our cars as well and couldn't find a solution.

To put it simply, there are different types of bluetooth. the type that is in the tsx for years 2006-2008 is for phone calls only. You'll want an A2DP bluetooth device to connect to your phone so you can stream songs.

I have this in my integra and it works great and the sound is the same as with an aux cable from what i notice

I've had one of these too in the tsx and it worked great. it just has the a2dp on it so if you connect to both the tsx bluetooth and this device at the same time. when you get a call, it'll pull it up on the car and the song streaming will be separate. i have an iphone so i don't know if android phones will act the same way.

Thanks for that. I have a couple of these for my other cars already but I didn't want to use them to stream my music because then I'll also have to use it for my calls too. I am pretty happy with the call quality from the onboard bluetooth.

I will have to look into the 2nd option you posted, might be just what I need.

Thanks Tekneek!:)

I use the GROM BT kit. Quite pricey, at around $200 for the whole kit or something. Works amazing though. Streams my phone calls and music.
OP has bluetooth on the car already for just the calls, so not sure if an all-in-one uniit would be ideal

that second unit i linked worked well when i had it (gave it to a friend). It felt kinda cheap and you ahve to manually turn it on every time which was pretty annoying.

Well there might be other devices similar that are of higher quality? I will look around, but I like how you were saying that my calls will still go through the cars bluetooth.

And a way to keep it constantly charged would be nice. So we could just leave it plugged in and kept in the center console indefinitely.

When I said this unit was cheap was because thats how i saw the build quality (i.e. all plastic, etc.) The sound quality was on par with an aux cable and I think it is worth a try for 20-30 bucks. it comes with a usb cable so you can plug it in to power and the aux. you'll probably need an aux extension cable so you can have the unit on the top tray of the middle console rather than in the bottom storage area in the middle console.

Here is an additional option.

Amazon.com: Genuine Blackberry Music Gateway 2 UK - ACC-41596-002: Cell Phones & Accessories

My brother uses this in his 07 TL-S and he is able to make calls using the cars BT and stream music using the Blackberry Music Gateway. It charges via usb so its always juiced through a car charger, and connects AUTOMATICALLY as soon as he gets in his car. He doesn't constantly have to go to his bluetooth settings and connect to it again.

Just like your phone auto connects for calls in the car, it auto connects to this too. Just sit down and push play in Pandora or whatever you use. Pauses when you make/receive calls and plays music where you left off when you hang up.

Hope this helps

THanks Palikero! I was going to get the other one Tekneek gave me the link for but the quality seems to be a bit better on this one.

THanks to both of you!

FRYS.com*|*Belkin

Just picked this one up from frys, only had it for a couple days and i love it works perfect and the audio output seems much clearer compared to aux cable..
