A while ago, I was coming off the freeway and I needed to brake hard to come to a stop. At the time I was going about 30mph and turning about 45 degrees. When the brake pedal almost reached the bottom of the floor(the last few cm's you can push it), the pedal began to chug/knock/vibrate or w/e u call it violently like there were rocks in the way preventing me to press down harder smoothly and it felt like it prevented me from braking like the pads had no pressure on the rotors. It also didn't sound so great when it happened.

Today, I tried braking hard again on a straight road at about 15mph and it just felt and sounded like something screeched. It doesn't have the smooth feeling as the pads hit the rotors like it normally does during normal braking.

Thanks for reading this, pads don't seem to be worn so I don't know what is causing this. And since the first incident wasn't just the screech feeling, I suppose it shouldn't be the worn pads problem.

I am having the same problem. I brought the car into an Acura dealer and they said I need new pads and that my rotors were warped. After changing the pad and rotors, i am still have the problem. Its not just the pulsating that worries me, the car doesn't come to stop as quickly. The best way I could describe the pedal feel is like trying to brake on ice and ABS going off, but there is no abs light.

OP any updates? Please share any advise or recommendations. For reference, model year is 2007.

Sounds like brake master cylinder internal leak. Have a decent mechanic check it out.

Dealer will want to have his way with you if that is what it is, probably insisting on a full brake service and repair front to back. Hope that it is not the VSA Modulator unit.
You should be seeing 1 or 2 warning indicator dash lights on. Modulator and or master cylinder for this vehicle is quite costly from the dealer.

Having the complete brake system checked while you are at it is the thing to do.
