Buying used '04TSX..Need HELP !!!

Hello,
I have an opportunity to pick up '04TSX with 208,000km (130,000miles) for $6500 Canadian , as far as I know Timing Chain was already replaced on it by Acura dealer. Car is in great condition overall... Does it worth it or should I get something with less kilometers for more $$$ (can't go over $8000)? Thank you all !!!

What part of Canada are you in?

In BC a 2004 with that kind of mileage, no accidents would list for about $8k and sell for about $7k.

I am in Southern Ontario...

That price is good for southern Ontario, I wouldn't pay over 7000$ for an 04 with that many miles.
Thank you for your replies! Is TSX with that many miles still a reliable ride though? I am asking because I am also looking at 2003 Lexus IS300 with the same miles and I know for a fact those are very reliable as I used to own one and know people who drive them with more miles on the odometer without any problems whatsoever...!
I am currently at 135k miles and still going strong... I've owned the car for 6 years and it was the best investment i've ever made in a car lol. Go for the TSX if it looks good and drives well.

Hopefully 135K miles is not alot for TSX... Do you own '04 model or later? I've heard '04 TSX is full of bugs...
Mine is an 04, I have not been plagued by too many of the common bugs though. Some of my center console lights are out, but other than that, i can't say i've had any major problems. 135k miles is alot, but for the right price, it can be worth it.
i drive a 04 MT TSX with about 224*** km on it now, it still runs strong, and I did a emission test about a 8 months ago now and zero emissions came out the tail pipe

Well said...I will thoroughly inspect this TSX before pulling the trigger, also will go and test drive 2003 Lexus IS300 since those cars have a better reliability record...
timing chains can be good for the life of the vehicle but it all depends on how old the driver is on the engine cause even timing chains can stretch out
I decided to look for 2005 TSX instead of 2004. Found one with 150.000km for $9000 , grey in colour. Is 2005 a better choice, I was told by the owner it consumes oil and that I have to keep checking on it every 1500-2000km...
Is this normal? Thank you!

Yes the oil consumption is fairly normal, several members have reported it mainly on 04s.

For what it's worth, my 04 has 108,000 miles with only the center stack lights out, no oil usage between oil changes (5000 miles) and the original clutch is hanging in there. I do have service records from when it was new, that helped me make my decision, the owners manual had the stamps for each service.
