Hi, I’m new to forums but I had a question. I figured this would be the best place to ask. My catalytic converter was recently stolen off of my car which is a 2007 Acura TSX 2.4 I am going to have it replaced through insurance but I want to try and prevent this from happening again as best I can and I know that there are security plates that you can use to cover to help slow down or stop any theft. I can’t seem to find any on the Internet that would be specific to my car. Does anyone know where I might be able to find this? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Perhaps speaking to different cat/muffler shops can reveal many ideas on how to help secure a cat. Since they install they may have a lot of experience that is directly related to security. Why not go to the experts?

One of the most easiest things is to get high temp paint and paint the cat before you get it caged. This will also help with theft cause the would have to remove the paint and the buyer won't want to take it if it's been messed with.

Or you can go with a high-flow cat. No one will want to touch your cat...

If he's talking about a straight-pipe, it would have no precious metals to recycle.

This seems a better option imo.
