Was wondering if you guys know of some decent exhaust systems in which you can have a stockish sound while driving around town, yet with a flip of a switch, can get a great aftermarket sound. I live in a neighborhood where people aren't too fond of loud aftermarket exhausts and would love to keep my neighbors and myself happy at the same time. Any ideas?

You'd need a solenoid switch and two separate outlets. It's all custom work at a shop. Not sure it's worth it.
A friend had his Z3 rigged up for 3" rear outlet or side straight pipe with flamethrowers. Pretty silly if you ask me.
Best option is not to race in your neighborhood. But I hear you with the neighbors. Just starting my car and having it idle to warm up isn't super loud, it's the low bass tone that reverberates through the houses/condo. Didn't realize how much until I ran back in to get something. Sounds like a beast lol.
