Help!

I changed the starter in a 2006 Acura TSX. It wasn't starting at all, and it fired right up with the new starter.

BUT soon after starting a "check charging system" light came on. And the battery only meaures 12.0 v while the engine is running.

The alternator was fine before I changed the starter.

My question is, could any of the connections I had to undo to change the starter cause this?

In particular, I had trouble with the connection that was down by the lower bracket on the intake manifold and mangled it a little.
What was that connection? Would it cause this issue if it got messed up?

Any ideas?? Thanks!

Quick update. It WAS that connector down on the bottom of the intake manifold. It wasn't clicked in all the way. As soon as I did, the charging voltage came back up to 14.3

You either missed or didn't tighten or seat a connector or maybe the alternator power lug or something in that ballpark when you pulled the harness for the starter, they're all in cahoots together down there.
