Alright so I have a automatic 06, supposedly the guy I bought my car from said the reason the emission system is on, is because it has racing headers. And I read somewhere that it could be true because some headers require to remove the catalyst converter.
Does it sound reasonable? Or should I get this check seriously.

Okay, now my check engine supposedly comes from the headers as well. They don't have a 02 sensor place for it. Does this sound something I shouldn't worry about?

Should I mention whenever I come to a complete stop, and it smells like a burnt gas smell? Sort of.

If you have a header w a test pipe then yes there will be a check engine light.
