I believe they'll hold them for a period of time, then if no one claims them they'll auction them off.Ray said:do they sell these cars off?

Just like Fast and the Furious!larchmont said:If you saw any of the TV reports, you might have noticed that the "undercover" people seemed to have special glee about getting down and being one of the racers in order to catch the guys. Methinks they enjoyed it quite a bit too much.
Lock them up too.![]()
Yeah, they're just impounding them. The owners can go to the impound yard and pick them up if they want... they have to pay the fine, which will include any towing costs. If they don't come to pick them up, the police end up auctioning them off. Don't know how long they have to pick it up before they auction it.TSX 'R' US said:I believe they'll hold them for a period of time, then if no one claims them they'll auction them off.
I would think so. Like I said, they have to cough up the money for the fines.Ray said:so those people are getting their cars back?
I'm guessing the same thing happened to the S2000 also...the pass front was torn up. Ouch!sjlee said:BTW... it was definitely funny when they ripped the bumper off that silver Civic. Although I'm sure the owner of that car isn't laughing very much.![]()
Somehow, I have a feeling their insurance companies don't know what they did with their cars...Ray said:So does insurance cover the damage caused by the tow truck?
