Tried searching and I must not be getting this.

I have a 2006 6 speed with what seems like a fairly common issue. Intermittent check emissions/VSA comes on, restarting the car can pull it out of limp mode but CEL remains. Ecu reset is all good for a few weeks. I DO have a very laggy accelerator, which seems to be a problem everyone has.

Code came back tonight and I did the paper clip jump on the pins. It flashes 3 times slow, 7 times fast. That’s code 37, right? Or am I missing something. I can’t find any info on this. Do I need to just go to autozone and get more info?

i did get a new app sensor because I saw everyone talking about how much it improves the pedal lag, but haven’t gotten around to installing it yet. Any info is appreciated!

Not sure what code that is. I use either a code reader or diagnostic tool to make sure what codes are being produced.

I would verify exactly what codes are being produced and then we can offer more appropriate advice.

Thanks, I decided to go to autozone today to be sure. It was in fact the APP sensor, p2138. Good thing I already had it because I suspected lol. Curious to see how much better my throttle response gets.

I just replaced the sensor. My god, it’s like a whole different car. Like when I bought it, I guess. I’ve been complaining for at least the past year about how jerky and laggy it is and I guess it was such slow failure I accepted it. The pedal is much stiffer and I can drive smooth again.
