Maybe we should extend the call to surrounding states?

Anyone in Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Kansas, Oaklahoma, and Texas that's close to Colorado?

I'm trying...

I'm not there yet but I hope to be soon. I'm in Boulder. I'm looking for a Milano Red/Ebony 6MT no-nav. It's looking to be as easy as finding that proverbial needle in a haystack. Maybe by the '07 model year.

Has anyone worked with RSX Club? Apparently they are based in Denver and are Hondata dealers. Once I have the TSX I'm considering a reflash (& maybe CAI) but that's it. I've heard you need someone to 'refine' the reflash just a bit after it's done for best effect, and am wondering if they can do this.

exciv2000, thanks for including NM, that's my home state and it's a good one. Sparsely populated & dirt poor, but good nonetheless :).

ClubRSX is located in Colorado Springs. If you need the reflash, go to TC's Performance at 59th and Sheridan. He is the only Authorized hondata dealer in Denver. He can also take care of all of your maintenance needs for any Acura/Honda at cheaper than dealership prices. He used to work in a dealership and he is the only one I trust with my cars. His name is Tobi. Tell him Scott sent you. If you need additional contact info, let me know. I have plenty of cards, website address, phone number, etc.

Here's his URL which should get you an exact address and phone number. http://www.tcperf.com

I take both my TSX and our Pilot there. He just recently did the 15K service on the Pilot, and he follows the Honda specs to a T, and checks everything the dealership would. The only thing he doesn't do is warranty work.

He also has a stock of parts if you want to buy something like the Hondata intake gasket, and he can get just about anything for great prices.

Lets do it! I'm not a great photographer, but my camera is capable of great pics, so if we want to meet and cruise somewhere, that would be cool.

Hey exciv2000,

I finally got my Milano Red/Ebony 6MT no-nav. It's a great car, I averaged 29.5mpg on my first tank... I hope I can do that good once I'm through the break-in mileage and can drive it somewhat more aggresively.

Anyway - I was wondering if you've had experience with dealers in the Denver area. I was working through Flatirons (in Boulder) but also talked to a guy at Courtesy. I'm looking to see who won't bitch about a CAI and/or reflash. That's about the extent of the mods I'm considering (besides, eventually, wheels), so hopefully somebody around here isn't uptight about such things...

I average about 28 most of the time, even with some agressive driving, but I do get some highway driving in there as well.

I don't think anyone will bitch about the CAI or reflash, unless it causes a problem with your car and they therefore have to void your warranty. The chances of that happening, though, are pretty slim. I got mine through Mile High, and I think that they might be somewhat receptive to mods too but haven't really checked into it since I'm most likely going to leave my car stock. The car was running good today though and I popped the hood and the intake manifold was very hot, so I'm sure a CAI would help quite a bit, but I don't think I want to make the jump. The reflash would also be good but telling my wife that I can't drive for 3 days would probably piss her off... I did all my mods on my previous civic so I kindof got that bug out of me.

Thanks for the info, I have spoken with people at Mile High as well but I think they'd be a little far for routine service. If it's absolutely necessary though...

28mpg is pretty good. One reason I chose the TSX was the mileage.

With regards to wives and mods... :) She doesn't seem to mind in theory but I wonder if it will be okay if the car is out of comission for three days... I guess I'll see once I get Flatirons on board.

Try to stay cool until the next monsoon rains!

yeah, I hope the rains do come again! The wife probably wouldn't care if the baby wasn't on the way. But then again, my civic was 8 PSI supercharged and nitrous'd together, so...

exciv2000, are you about to be a father? If so, congrats! My daughter (1st child) was born *today*, 9 hours ago! I'm killing some time while mother & baby sleep in the room - they don't need my noise. Good luck with the final months & delivery! We delivered @ Exempla Good Samaritan in Lafayette, they did a great job.

PS bought the TSX for the 'family car'. Heh.

Congratulations!!!! :D

Yep, in November! It will be our first too, and will be a boy. We've already got the name picked out but don't have much else for the little guy yet. I think we are delivering at Exempla Lutheran in Wheat Ridge. Just an FYI, if you get Discovery HD, there is a good program on between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM called "The Baby Human". I've learned quite a bit from that show. It's hard to stay awake for it, so an HD DVR would be best, but I've just got a SD DVR currently and it's not on the regular Discovery channel.

Hey exciv2000,

Congrats again. We're now nearly three weeks post birth. I doubt I'll be making a TSX meet any time soon, heh.

One word of advice: start working on sleep deprevation one week before your wife's due date. You'll need it! ;)
