Never recharged an air filter before, and I tried googling for directions for foam filters but there are too many varied results, so needa make sure I do it right

1. Remove filter and spray dirty (blue) side with Uni Cleaner (I used Simple Green) and let the cleaner soak for 10 min. Rinse out from clean side and if still dirty, repeat this step.

2. After filter has been cleaned, let it air dry.

3. Once dry, spray the dirty side with 4 light coats of Uni Oil, 20 minutes apart. After all coats have been sprayed, let the oil settle into the filter for a couple hours (clean side down) and reinstall

Anything wrong with my process?

Alrite thanks, I wasn't sure because I was reading other forums and they said spray oil on both sides. Same thing about the k&N, spray oil on both sides but seemed like only the side with incoming air would need oil

you may want to massage the oil into the foam filter for a more even distribution. that's the only other thing i'd recommend. usually the unifilter cleaner will have instructions on how to do it if you don't have the CT-E sheet anymore.

I wish they sell it cheaper so I don't have to clean mine.
"Oooooohhh wooes me, I hate having to clean my supercharger filter."

I wish I had that problem. If I had one I would do it quarterly just so I would have a reason to stare at it for a couple hours.

Cleaning the k&n drop in on your questionably home modded intake. Now that's something to bitch about.

Is there a difference between the gauze type filter oil and foam? I have the CT Icebox, and I have the recharge kit from K&N but don't know if this will work. I can't seem to find any clear info.
Not compatible. Don't use k&n kit with foam filter

you can get the unifilter cleaning kit from amazon. it's the same brand that ct-e uses when they provide the prep spray for the filter.
