I'm planning on rebuilding my motor with pistons and was wondering people's opinions on removing the counter-balance shafts.

I'm also probably going to lighten the crank (unnless I hear otherwise), my car currently has the Excedy lightweight flywheel.

What do you guys think on drivibility? Idle? roughness? gains?
If someone has done it before, what did you do to block the oil jets?

Thanks

so your going to run a rsx-s oil pump?
I'm just looking to free up some extra HP with the rest of the motor work.
Take out the shafts and plug the oil jets.
The old H series guys seem to have gained some HP with little negative drivability issues. I was wondering if ours would be the same.

No plans to use the rsx pump. Why do you ask?

^^^ Good to know that the RSX pump is an option. I'm guessing that the pan is required too?

The gains from removing the shafts aren't worth it and are very minimal. The only reason to change the pump is if you're going over 8K.
