i heard that cusco has a lower arm brace for the cl7 and cl9. i browsed their site, but i can't find the application section. can anyone confirm this? what does the lower arm brace do? how is it different from sway bars?

does cusco make anything else for the cl7 and cl9? coilovers, sway bars, etc.

I'd believe the lower arm brace is designed to further stiffen the chassis of the car and reducing bodyroll, adding stability on handling. While stabilizer bars alter the handling characteristics instead. I don't have much information on what is available from Cusco on the CL7/9 at this stage.

There's currently three items Cusco has for the CL9,

Strut Tower Brace: (Oval Section) 344 540A

Lower Arm Brace: (I - Single Bar) 344 475A

Lower Arm Brace: (II - Cross Brace) 344 477A

The info is there on the Cusco website. You can use the english page to get an idea of what each component does in a generic sense.

I then found the rest using the Google website translate function, and Adobe Reader v 7 with Japanese fonts.

I think the two lower braces are desgined to be used together. I'm sure Noel will correct me if I'm wrong :)

Yup, both lower arms are for the front. I would've posted a link but it only works if you've got the Japanese PDF font's installed.

Here's some cobbled together jpegs of the pages:

And if your Japanese is really good!!!!

Price for the Strut Bar ~ $180USD/$260CAD/$270AUD

Lower Arm I ~ $90USD/$155CAD/$165AUD

Lower Arm II ~ $180USD/$260CAD/$290AUD

US/Canadian values are close estimates. Australian prices are as quoted.

Pretty obvious what my next mod's are ;)

What is the deal with the Lower Arm I, i imagine it offers different advantages then Lower Arm II. Does anyone know what they are, is it stiffer, etc?

The 2 bars from Cusco are all designed to work "together" as a package. Both are designed to stiffen the chassis and improve traction and handling characteristics.

Apart from the strut bar being a generic item, the Cusco under/lower bars all aid in handling improvement. However, I'd be inclined to make a quick purchase as yet because it's definitely "not complete".

Cusco will definitely finish off the middle and the rear sections of the car at a later stage or is probably currently in development.
