I want to fit a 4DR Type M Front Bumper on my '06, but I don't want to lose the glorious chrome grill, has anyone tried modding this bumper to remove the mesh grill?

I would like to ask the installer to cut the bumper on the line being pointed to in the second photo before sanding it down and painting it, just so I can keep the chrome Acura badge, 2 adjacent chrome bands, and the chrome outline surrounding it. Has anyone does this, and if not, would anyone who has fitted this bumper before know if this would even be possible? Is there mounting points on the outsides of the mesh grill on the new bumper being fitted that would prevent this from working? Is it possible to leave the grill from the original bumper behind?

Anything is possible when it comes to body work like this. Will it look good? I don't know honestly. Having a hard time imagining it. Maybe ask someone who is proficient in photoshop do a quick render of it to see what it'd look like?
