Hi everyone I’m David. My IG is @dluna28, I’m coming from a 2014 civic si 9th gen civic platform. I currently have a 2016 ilx that is my daily as well as my tsx that will be my dedicated track car/weekend canyon car. Ok now more about my tsx. I bought it with 119k 6 speed with no mods I was very happy to find such a stock version of the car. Back story on the car is that his wife would drive it and they have too many cars now (looked true) it was purchased from his brother so I am the third owner 😮😊. Here is a picture of my old si and my daily, as well as my tsx when I bought it. I will try to keep the mods I’ve done so far in chronological order and use this to keep track of the mods done too my car.

Ok so the first thing I did on the car was a tune up of course with Ngk spark plugs, eneos 5w30 oil, oem pcv valve replaced the power steering pump and did the flush as well as a gates belt, Basically everything I could replace aside from the trans fluid and coolant. Car has the vsa light on so I cleaned those screens and the sensors and it worked!😜 car passed smog and I drove it as mush as possible for a month too see if anything would go out. Checked out good 👍

I started with the cheapest mods I bought a ebay grill, removed the amber from the lights added led trunk lights and blinkers all the good ricer stuff and proceeded to remove the interior. I got lucky and traded my interior and oem air box for a injen intake and 100 bucks with family cred from the girlfriends side of the family 😃. I hate dry ice btw

The car sat for a while I managed to put it on some rpf1s but I took them off eventually, around this time I made my brake ducts using the stock housing and universal brake ducts I used a high heat hose and zo6 exit brake duct i left the intake side without a hose for the intake to get more air. I can take more pictures if interested. Removed the front brake heatsheilds instead of mounting a hose to it because I’m lazy.

finally decided to get to work, don’t have much pictures but I upgraded my brakes with stoptech slotted rotors and stainless steel lines, hawk dtc70s in front and regular hps in the rear. for the Brake fluid I used endless rf650. I also did the Porsche gt3 brake air directors when I did my suspension that I will explain later. I took the time to heat wrap my abs lines with that gold tape while I was down there.

Around that time my seat came in and I could finally drive the car to my friend’s house and get to work, i really couldn’t of done it without my friend will. Like I said before I don’t have much pictures but I can take any on request. For my seat setup I went with a sparco circuit seat with pci base and side mounts, I’m currently using the oem seatbelt as I need more safety equipment before I can install the sparco 6 point harness. My friend Stubz hooked it up with a second hand sparco wheel and d&d quick release/ found a secondhand works bell hub and added a acura sticker.

After getting the car to my friend Wills house we proceeded to start the suspension. the parts I have as of now are PCI front sphearical bushings, Godspeed mono maxx coilovers, k tuned front camber kit, hardrace lateral toe arms and rear camber arms, moog endlinks, progress 22mm sway bar. I got some 17x9 +45 5zigen pro racer z1 wheels from fkxracing and put 235 40 17 federal rsrr and took it to get a alignment at jmp autowerks. I forgot what specs I used but it is most likely going to change as well as my tire size. After the alignment my friend gave the car a awesome paint correction, polish and ceramic coat. It Was really worth the time and money spent can’t thank my friend will enough!

Did a track day with doghouse events but before this I added the shifter extension, hybrid racing shifter box bushings and cable bushings, cte short shifter, serge bo tune and type r crash bar/rebar. I had a blast did 1 second better than my si with consistent times I will definitely be changing the tire size and alignment soon, aside from the track day I added more mods for the interior and sneak peak of what’s ahead. I basically added a racebred floor spacer, strut king pedals, and a fake sparco tow strap I bolted up top as a handle to get out of the car. Switched my oil to 5w40 eneos Also found this cool thing on eBay.

Finally mocked up the fuel pressure gauge. not very happy with it because originally it would face away from the driver. But the glow shift gauge I bought Came with a nice attachment I used.

Thank you Im exited for this build. The rsrr is a great tire for a budget And a good beginner tire so it’s perfect for me. If you have more experience I’m sure you will want a bit more since they get greasy when hot. In the picture your asking it’s the Porsche air directors attached to my lower control arm with mechanical wire.

Oh I see it directs airflow to the rotors. Nice. Do you have more pics of that? Where'd you get those?

yea i used a heat gut to bend them a little more and mechanic wire to mount them. I remember drilling different holes on it to accommodate our control arm style, also removed those little flaps underneath the front bumper that come on every honda.

I haven’t been updating this but honestly haven’t been doing much to the car. I took it to another track day and ended up lowering the rear of the car a bit more, and going -2.5 rear and -2.7 front I forgot my toe specs but the car felt much more stable this time around.

I ran out of tire and came to the conclusion that the car feels a bit front heavy, so I will finally start doing some work again. I’ll try to keep you guys updated but as of now my main focus will be the sunroof delete, moving the battery to the rear and removing any weight from the front as much possible. I found a leaking motor mount I’m going to replace with inovative mount I ordered, I also got a hold of some second hand headlights Im going to retrofit off road flood lights into them because I’m honestly kinda blind and I feel my headlights/high beam isn’t bright enough. After all this hopefully I will be ready for a fresh rsrr corner balance and a trip to streets of willow to see if there is any improvement....ps I added a Sti lip that I cut up and heat gun till it looked ok. I know it’s rice but be nice.

Ok since I got a hold of those headlights I made some progress. I was originally going to put a light bar but my freind Gave me the idea after a dark night in the canyon telling me my car lighting was dim compared to other cars I’ve owned. Ok so I opened them up clean removed the amber and proceeded to cut out the high beam reflector as carefully as I could with a razor blade I messed up a bit but I’m not 100% sure how ima go about or how I’m going to mount the flood light yet.. so I guess it’s ok.

Feels like I have been making progress but..not really. don’t have much time to work on the car but my headlight project is slowly coming together, the dv8 lights I ordered were too small so I went with a kc led light that I will have on a switch next to the vsa..at least that’s the plan. Also need to paint them and re clear my headlight lens so still in the works. I got my sunroof delete panel that i will need to make a custom brackets To hold the panel flush, I also installed the passenger side innovative motor mount.
