Did the track day this past Sunday I honestly didn’t even get close to my goal and I went flying off the first session losing the ebay lip. Mainly because of cold tires I didn’t expect it to be that cold. It was a fun event regardless and got some pretty consistent times for the most part. I also meet another tsx there so that was cool.

Haven’t been on here much and I haven’t been really driving the tsx. I’ve been focused on the e36 m3 that I can hopefully drive and possibly sell soon and get back on track with the tsx. I signed up for some track days in these next two months so I will be driving the car as is for the 19th and 20th at streets next week and upgrading tires for chuckwalla on March 6th. I also took a nice long drive yesterday and took some pictures it felt good to drive the car again.

So I went and did the weekend at streets with ach motoring and doghouse events and had a blast, but a couple of days before I took the car to work and was driving on mullholand testing the car and underestimated a bush that took my side mirror out, shout out to my buddy in the grey tsx for picking up some mirrors for me in his area! Aside from that I dropped my time down to a 1:31 without any modifications...maybe the black side mirrors? Super stoked and going to get ready for chuckwalla on March 6th just need good tires and ball joints

that's funny i read about you switching out to black mirrors on a CGP TSX. just a few minutes earlier i was on my break looking over my CGP 06 thinking about doing blacked out window trim and dechromed handles and how black mirrors would look better as the black would flow uninterrupted to the fender/A pillar area. Then i come here and see a black mirror CGP TSX! Could you be so kind to take some side profile photos? Want to see how well the line flows with everything above the window line black.

Also i would love if you did some reviews of your head light setup. really tempted to pick up a beat set from ebay and do a similar setup with stupid bright high beam spotlights. Running a now recalled for being too bright Hikari eye of ultron H1 bulb in the high beam and while they're crazy bright they don't have the distance i want. You can see the future in front of you, they're perfect in the rain, but there's not enough light 100' down the road.

here are some photos of the side honestly it blends into the cgp and you can’t notice any difference, I’ll try to do a solid review of the headlights if I find another tsx willing to help for a video. As for doing it yourself I recommend some eBay headlights or second hand that would be easy to restore. I struggled by wet sanding and re clearing the lens because of the condition, looks great but it’s not perfect or worth the time spent on doing it. (Updated)

I feel like the car had more in it but with my first time being there i was just getting the feel of the track and learn it in general. Had a high goal of 2:06 but didn’t get near it as always. Tsx will be getting some new moog ball joints and I bought some dt male connectors and wired the lights up to the original high beam. The external switch was cool in the mountains but didn’t feel natural and I caught myself driving with them on a couple of times. the car will unfortunately stay as is until after the next vtec club event or sell my e36. So no updates for a bit.

(I used electrical tape so this isn’t the final product but I didn’t want to cut up the kc light harness or cut the oem)

Haven’t updated in a while but there’s also not much to update. I switched to the advan a052 tire so I’m Just having fun at the track the way the car is with @Senna88 . I’ve been trying to rack up parts and will update you guys as I do the installs and trying to focus on the car again at the beginning of the year. So all I can do is flood you with pictures

Got some random updates on the car surprisingly. My battery died in my daily and I have the same optima yellow top so I did the switch went to autozone and there back ordered. I asked about the odessey pc680 and they swapped it out and refund me some money. Bought a box for it on Amazon that I had to install some rubber trim to keep the battery snug and had to purchase sae posts but so far it’s good bought a battery tender with the extra cash shaved some weight up front too

Im only going to put in the headers for now and wait till next year for the rest and other parts I’ve been hoarding

Also sourced a cf trunk, it was a bit sun faded but polished right up and I added some layers of different ceramic coatings to match the rest of the car I’m actually liking the look since it matches the sunroof.

Did the last vtec club event of the year at buttonwillow first time there managed a 2:11and went off twice. it was honestly super fun. Time to get ready for next year.

Finally sold my e36 m3! Cool car but glad it’s gone. To celebrate I bought some taillights online to match the front lights. Hopefully getting a custom plate soon and my car will have that cleaner look now, I also replaced the bumper reflectors a while ago because I’ve secretly always wanted these lights. May not be everybody’s cup of tea I usually like oem but i these won me over for some reason.

I have some info on it on the second page. I bought it from a company called north wind composites and mounted the sunroof with two different 3m window welds to create a tight seal. I also added 3m rubber edge to have that oem look, in order to do this I mounted it slightly lower with a dip so the rubber can sit flush.

So I Finally sourced a nice k24 rbb3 and asp3 euro r transmission from hmo. Also bought a plm engine stand since neither will be going on soon. bought a painted front lip on eBay and also some used wed sports tc105sx 17x9.5 45 did a test fit and they fit great had to store them because the tires are kinda old. Hopefully slap some on soon…Lots of work to come.

Started doing some random stuff to the engine I started with a clean up and the valve cover paint I went with a satin black high heat ceramic and a satin high heat clear by vht also plastic dipped the oil dip stick. After that I sourced a used but still new rbc manifold and also big shout out to @tr3flip for the j35 throttle body. So much more to do just random parts I picked up recently. Also put the coil pack cover for that oem Acura look…almost forgot the acuity shift knob I bought goes well with the all black interior and very simple.

I love the bumper duct idea on this car. What exactly is it from? You said a Z06 but I searched several ways and couldn't find it anywhere.
