Hi everyone I’m David. My IG is @dluna28, I’m coming from a 2014 civic si 9th gen civic platform. I currently have a 2016 ilx that is my daily as well as my tsx that will be my dedicated track car/weekend canyon car. Ok now more about my tsx. I bought it with 119k 6 speed with no mods I was very happy to find such a stock version of the car. Back story on the car is that his wife would drive it and they have too many cars now (looked true) it was purchased from his brother so I am the third owner 😮😊. Here is a picture of my daily, as well as my tsx when I bought it and now I will try to keep the mods I’ve done so far in chronological order and use this to keep track of the mods done too my car.

I love the bumper duct idea on this car. What exactly is it from? You said a Z06 but I searched several ways and couldn't find it anywhere.
The front bumper ducts are hand made with universal ducts, although they sell some on eBay from a Russian seller. The z06 duct that I mention is used as the exit that leads air to the rotors.

It’s hard not to mod this car. I told myself I would take a nice break from the car and ended up buying one of those android units on offer up and one thing lead to another. Long story short I started with the radio downloaded the Agatha car launcher, Apple car play module and a Amazon back up camera that replaces the trunk light while still keeping the functionality of the trunk light. Everything is plug and play so it was mostly playing with settings and apps that took so long I decided I wanted to continue the process of modernizing the car and add a push start. From jdi (Jordan distributors) I wanted to keep that oem look and feel so I bought a Honda plug to cover the oem key hole and mounted the push start by the trim with that speaker next to the radio. I sanded everything and wrapped it. I’m still cleaning up the installation and looking to connect the switch to the clutch instead of the brake wire not sure yet but here are some pictures of my process so far.

That Android unit is something I've been wanting to do since day 1 of owning my TSX. The OEM navigation and display are extremely outdated. It looks great! How's it working for you? Does it have all of the climate control functionality built in? If so, does everything work the way it should?
Yea the display works great it does have its laggy moments especially trying new apps it may freeze and reboot but in the end it’s better than the stock radio. once all setup and doesn’t go out of its comfort zone it works well and the climate control is always accessible in the corner of the screen you can even move the icon to your liking. A bit pointless since it’s a track car but I will try to use the mirror app to good use. Possibly display my Hotlap or something.very fun with android apps like car launchers giving your car different home screens with oem logos that are customizable to create a oem feel.

That dash touchscreen LCD looks great! Super nice work!

Going by your previous pics your TSX did NOT have factory LCD/Navigation. Just the radio/CD player.
So you removed the HVAC control panel.

So I will ask the same question as above. How did you interface the HVAC system with your new LCD?

While your keyless pushbutton start install looks great also, your car is now less theft resistant.
In fact all modern cars with a keyless pushbutton start system are more vulnerable to theft than cars with a physical key and RFID chip in the key.
Just google car thefts and you will see.

There are also other issues with keyless pushbutton
How does your aftermarket system handle the situation when someone drives away your TSX without the keyfob?

All the climate controls do work well. it’s in Celsius so I just keep it in low (lowest setting) I have my button in the lower left corner of the screen but can be moved to your liking. Keep in mind I have no interior carpet or sound dampening, so it won’t work as well as a full interior car. @CalgaryTSX I am actually very aware of the signal coping of keyless systems. my car is always garaged but I always say if someone really wants your car they will find a way. My 2016 Acura ilx you can literally just drive away, it will only warn you it’s not detected. My wife’s Mazda 3 actually goes into limp mode once the key fob is too far. All my cars are push start and my tsx is probably the safest since it’s not driven much and garaged, it’s mainly a visual modification to complete the modernized theme.

Nice! I like that climate control screen much better than the stock navigation controls. I may have to get one of those in the near future. Thanks for clarifying!

It’s my track car so if the ac ever goes away it’s no big deal and no extra buttons. Best part is I shaved some weight removing that factory head unit not sure how much but the android unit weighs nothing compared to the oem radio.

Be careful with your keyless start TSX!
IMO, these cars still are still in demand for the HID lights, the K24 engine and the 6 speed trans.
It does sound like that you realize how vulnerable to theft keyless start vehicles are.

I am curious what your TSX does when you drive it off without the keyfob.

So the harness from the HVAC control panel just plugs into the Android headunit?
Is there an interface module?
Yea unfortunately California and Los Angeles county is well known for car theft so regardless on what you drive or where you live surveillance and precaution is a must, if you care about your vehicle getting stolen. Also keeping your car from car meets will prevent people putting air tags on your car and following you home.

unfortunately my battery light turned on so I need to replace the alternator before I can test that because I’m also curious. The kit is cool because it doesn’t just read the key is nearby to start, you need to swipe the key fob over the antenna in order for it too disarm (two beeps) and then you can start the car. Once you turn it off you swipe it again to arm the system. If you don’t know where the antenna is, it may be hard to start the car but mine is unfortunately in the most obvious place.

no module 2 of the 3 green harness plug into the back of the radio the radio even notifies me if a door is open but disables the top clock that’s right above the emergency light switch. I may take that out to install a enginetix oil pressure gauge to replace the one I have and have use of the ac vent again.

you've inspired me to do a lot of things on my TSX. why are you using a switch for the retrofitted high beam? why not wire up a relay switched by the high beams so you can use the high beam switch on the stalk?

I actually did switch it to the stock wiring. I wasn’t a fan of the switch I would find myself leaving it on and just feels more natural using the factory high beam on the headlight stock when driving.
So I’ve been doing some random things to my car unfortunately my android radio failed and I broke it more trying to fix it. unfortunately after repairing the ribbon that connected to the screen I damaged the screen by cracking it. So I’m back to the factory radio also removed the carbon wrap in frustration. I decided I will wrap the silver a satin black hoping for a more oem clean look.

the car desperately needs new tires so I mounted the wedsports and decided to put car in hibernation so I took this time to install some parts I’ve been collecting. I installed some new brake ducts from eBay that are actually made for the tsx and fit great I also gloss black the mesh on the eBay grill and started to install the spoon rigid collars. Hopefully up next is new ball joints axles, and tie rods from Honda.

Came across this jays racing tow hook rep that I couldn’t pass up all it needed was a good clean up and hardware I ended mounting it right behind the horn to make install as difficult as possible.
