oh yeah the dent is right on the front passenger door right above the wheel on the groove where the trim is
very easy. Look up paintless dent removal in your phonebook.
What is wrong with people?
Sorry to hear about what happened, but on the bright side you should be able to get it fixed rather easy (as Tony has stated).
A dent puller should fix that right up for you :)
How does paintless dent removal work?

Well it depends on the dent. One way is to use a suction cup. Stick the suction cup on the dent, then pull outward, and usually the dent will "pop" back into place.
And hopefully paint doesn't crack?

I remember hearing something about dry ice? For hail dents or something?
Here is what one of the suction cup's look like

The suction cup is applied, and by twisting the knob on top, more pressure (suction) is applied to the dent.. until it "pops" back into shape.

This has also hit the market, as a do it yourself dent removal kit.
I think I'd stick with the pros. But it is another option.

Sorry to hear it.
Nice replies from Joker, eh?

The worst thing anybody ever threw at any of my cars was a snowball. I had the window open about halfway, driving uptown in Manhattan, and a kid let loose.
He got a direct hit, nothing but net. :Ouch:

Actually somehow it wasn't that bad. Worst thing was that I couldn't help imagining, what if it had been a rock.
yeah it sucks when that happens. I had some kids throw something around and hit my other car on accident. The thing is it hit on the very back top corner of the car so the pdr guys couldn't get it out without cracking the paint.

But you don't have to worry about your paint cracking where the dents at.
They also have long skinny rods that they stick under the metal and push the dent out from the inside. I've had a dent on the door too. What the guy did was pull the door away from the window just a TINY bit and blocked it open. Then stuck the rod down and worked the dent out.

The better methods for dent removal involve the use of specialized rods bent into specific shapes with nylon tips. These are usually inserted through openings, if openings don't exist, they can drill small access holes and cap without any telltale signs.

Check local dealer as they usually have these people coming around weekly to help "fix up" their used cars.

A good pro can usually make a dent look like new depending on the severity of the dent. The sharper the crease, the more difficult it is to repair.

For small body damage, if dentless doesn't work try this link:

They usually operate only at dealerships so local dealer may already be using them?

Contact them for a local operator in your area.

Good Luck

agreed. that's how I found the people I went through.
the suction cup doesnt work i went and checked today since its right on the crease, it cannot be fixed by a suction cup

Sounds like it might be a bit more involved then first thought.
Please be sure and let us know how it goes.
Good luck!!!
You'd be suprised what can be done with a dent puller. The rear quater panel on my integra was kicked in right on a crease. I stopped at a body shop that said they would have to pull it off pound it out and repaint it. (car hadn't even had its second oil change yet :( ) I had a pdr guy come over and he gave it a try. Dent came right out. He still had to touch it up with one of the rods but it perfect now.
Great stuff Tony!
Hopefully he'll have similar luck
I was driving in the city in my previous car when a punk kid threw an apple toward the passenger side window while I was driving 45 MPH.

It smack hard against the window and turned the apple into a pulp but my window held up. Good thing because it was heading straight toward the right side of my face.

Good luck with your repair.
Anyone thats gotten stuff thrown at their cars get out and chase the kids?

I would have gone after them after I collected myself from the initial shock but they all scattered like roaches.

Then again, now I think about it, I'm not so sure if that's a good idea. Even if I am able to catch up to one of the kids, there's no way of telling who threw the the object at your car. I suppose I could give them an earful, but chances are, they don't listen to their parents so they wouldn't listen to some stranger.

And of course in the lawsuit happy society that we live in, the kid might accuse you of physical assault for grabbing you. Grrrr.
