I've had an RSX-S for many years and I just bought a 2006 TSX and lo and behold, the driver door actuator was bad. I had it replaced at the Acura dealership but ever since the actuator was replaced. I've found that it takes quite a bit more force to close the door than with the original actuator. Is this normal? Is there some wearing in time before it closes like the original door? The door opens just fine, its just when I close it with the same amount of force as the passenger front door, the door doesn't shut completely.

Other than that, I'm loving this car and having four doors!

sure it is a new part and all, but no that is not normal. since the dealer performed the service for you, i would take it back and complain.

have them compare the strength needed to close the door on another tsx on their lot if you have to!
