SITUATION:

So i'm having a slight issue, whenever i take a sharp turn or just a slight turn such as pulling in/ pulling out of the drive way, going up in car garage,I get the ENGINE OIL LEVEL LOW, now my oil according to my car is at 50%, i just added a QT of mobile 1 synthetic like a week ago, and i use 4.5 qts on oil change done 1000 miles ago (synthetic suppose to last 5000) so i shouldn't have low engine oil.

QUESTIONS:

1.Am i burning oil at 56,000 miles?
2.What can i do to check if i can check if im burning oil?
3. could it just be a bad sensor? like the vtec soleniod or something??
4.why does it happen when making turns?

COOLANT ISSUE: I Smell coolant from my engine, i checked for leaks, NONE, i flushed added new coolant, still draining and coolant smell.
1. Where do i look if ive checked HOSES (top and bottom) and ive checked throttle body area since i did the TB MOD????

ANy help, suggestions will be greatly appreciated, ive searched on this topic before no answers, problem went away now its back :-/

Your oil pressure sender could be faulty if you have enough oil in the pan, usually it only trips when its below the lower dot.

You could use oil at 1 mile on a brand new car. Mobile one is crap oil, most of us use penzoil here, there was a post up here that had proof that it was much much better.

If your loosing coolant you have a problem, if its not in your oil you most likely blew your head gasket, which could also be the reason for you using oil. Where do you smell the coolant from? Feel the passenger foot well is it wet?

how could the gasket be blown, i dont abuse the car =/, stressful...um coolant smell is coming from the area of the oem intake hose somewhat tbut i usually smell it like it i leave the car running while im at work waiting to go in ill open the door an i can smell it. so should i just do another oil change and monitor it?

You dont need to abuse a car for the gasket to let go.

Im not saying its 100% your head gasket but its possible. Does the car smoke out the exhaust when you take off?

Not sure what you mean by intake hose? Are you referring to the intake pipe that connects to the throttle body or the breather tube that connects to the valve cover?

It is also possible that your TB has a cracked coolant passage, have you dont a TB bypass? If not I would do it just to make sure thats not the problem.

The TSX does NOT have an oil level low light. It's an oil pressure light. If that light comes on your engine oil level is critically low.

You made no mention of checking your oil level with the dipstick.
Check the oil level with the dipstick every morning before starting it with the car parked flat.
This will tell you if the car is using oil.

As for your coolant level, is it actually going down?
Check the level every morning along with the oil level.

No emotion, just check the levels to see what, if anything, is going on..

Youd be surprised actually, it doesnt need to be very low to make it trip during a fast turn or a big incline. When I was having issues with using oil It would pop on for a second during hard turns.

In the owner's manual it says that when you get a message "Check engine oil level" on the display and/or when the oil pressure light is on, your engine oil pressure is zero and your engine is in danger of being damaged.

There is no oil level sensor on the TSX, only an oil pressure sensor.
If you can find an oil level sensor on your engine or in the TSX parts catalog please point it out.

I recommend to keep checking your engine oil level and coolant level yourself. Keep them topped up until you find a pattern or you determine what the issue is.

How low is low? 1 quart low, 1/2 quart low, 2 quarts low??

If the oil pressure light is on, or flickers on, your oil pressure is, or is temporarily, near zero and your engine is in danger of being damaged.

UPDATE:

Found that the Culprit is possibly a bad valve cover gasket....oil all around the valve cover so tomorrow i will take apart replace with new gasket and see if that fixes the problem while im at it i will do spark plugs and clean some of the engine bay so i can see if any oil leaks or w.e... if this doesnt work ON TO THE NEXT!!

I'm glad you are making progress.

So it looks like you were leaking oil which caused your oil level to be critically low resulting in the oil pressure light to come on.
At this point, you clearly weren't checking your engine oil level at all nor noticing all the oil on the engine, probably on the plastic under shield also.

You have to spend more time keeping an eye on things on your car, especially your engine oil level.
Make a checklist and spend some time with your car. Under the hood, underneath. Tires, fluids, suspension, rust, etc, etc..
Just think that at times your engine had zero or very little oil pressure because you didn't check the oil level.
Your engine is likely fine but you could have damaged it.

You are likely a young guy & you would be right that I am being tough on you but it's for your own good!
