hey guys im fairly new to this forum so please excuse my questions if they sound stoopid.
but anyways i currently own an 04 tsx but i regretfully purchased it without the navigation option and now i want one. theres a seller selling the stock navigation system on ebay and i was wondering if it would be possible to install the navigation system into my car. can someone please help me out.

I don't believe so, the non-NAVI and NAVI versions of the CL9 have different central console assemblies. To retrofit, you'd need to retrofit the assemblies as well. That is a big job.

no reason it is impossible...I have seen this discussed several times...basically the conclusion is - COST-WISE, it is cheaper to just replace non-nav with a nav. trade in for a new or used one whatever.

Now on the technical side - like Noel said - it is a BIG job - I'd call it a messy job too. with NO WARRANTY.

yup... they are right. the money u have to spend may get u a trade-in deal for nav option. New car too!!
for me, it is ok not to have one on my car b/c I seldom travel very far and I know the roads pretty well locally.

(I know a lady who really needs one     )

You should consider getting an aftermarket nav like the Garmin Streetpilot. They are everybit as accurate and are portable so you can move them from car to car. Alternatively, you can go with aftermarket such as Alpine's system. This would have the added benefit of allowing you to play DVDs. It will cost around $2K + installation. A bit more than the cost of the nav option, but probably several times the cost cheaper than trying to retrofit the OEM nav to your non-nav car.

They're right -- seems there's absolutely no doubt.

So.....what I don't get is these eBay sellers like what 1QT is saying.
There have been quite a few of those.
So if somebody buys it, what happens??? I imagine they just get stuck.

I'm surprised we haven't heard angry horror stories about it on our sites.
