I started hearing my first rattle (actually, it's more like a creaking noise) about 2 weeks ago and it appears to be getting worse. It is definiteley in the moonroof vacinity. When I close the shade, I can barely hear it, but I think the noise it just getting masked and not stopped by doing so. Anyone else experience this? Suggestions?

2004 TSX - 12,000 miles.

Thanks!

Definitely has been experienced, I've read it around here on different threads, you should try searching for the "moonroof rattle". I'm not quite sure if anyone had a fix for it...just close the sunshade and turn up the radio.

Apply lithium grease (not WD40) to the seals & rubber surround on the moonroof. But, before doing that clean the area with a damp rag.

How funny this thread should pop up now: I turned my car in today to fix the driver side rattle & they just called to tell me that they also fixed a rattle on the passenger side. I hope Acura works on remedying this for future models.

Your drivers seat is probably slipping off the rails. Its happened in my TSX already. It was fixed under warranty.

I hope your Acura dealer doesn't say it's NORMAL...which is where many of us are on the driver seat problem. If you've seen my thread, I've sent letters to ACS, and posted my service records, where the mechanic indicated seat slide is NORMAL.

Thanks for all the responses. I will try a few things and let you know if any work. Don't feel so bad though, the last time I had my car in they gave me a TL for a loaner - it rattled. Last week, I had a 2005 Maxima to take on a trip for work - it rattled. Maybe the cars are just getting sooo quiet, they can't disguise the rattles anymore??

BTW - the 15,000 miles service is just an oil change. I am also considering having them do a full interior and exterior detailing with exterior wax (by hand). They charge $110 which seems competitive with this area. Any suggestions?
