XM boards ARE different

Printed Circuit Board (without navigation system):p/N 3917A-SEC-A01RM
Printed Circuit Board (with navigation system):p/N 3917A-SEC-A51RM
Just tried both of these at Honda and Acura parts websites and nothing. I then used "3917A-SEC-A01" without the "RM" and it led me to "3917A-SEC-A01CP" Printed Circuit Board 04 TSX, is this still the newer board, maybe something else was updated? I am looking for one without the XM for my 04.

i believe the RM means remanufactured... they told me there was a core charge on it. I am pretty sure i gave my dealer the number listed on this page since they usually have a hard time looking up parts like this.

Well my 2004 has 115,000 miles. So it sounds like I am out of the warranty. I think I found the 3917A-SEC-A01 on estore.acura.com for $95. Pickup at dealer.

But I'm afraid this is going to be an expensive fix? Not only have those lights been out for a while, but my radio just went out yesterday. Related?

so the best bet is to ask my dealer for a PCB? and install it myself (if i feel competent too)? i recently lost my lights... can i get this part from another 04 (junked) or would that run the same risk to blow?

thanks!

I found the model number of the blown transistor. It is a Panasonic 2SB1398. I found out that is discontinued, but digikey has about 2000 in stock at about $.85. I have one on the way and will try my hand at soldering it to repair and update when done!

The part numbers for digikey are 2SB13980QACT-ND and 2SB13980PACT-ND. The Q is lead free, but was told they both would work.
