Hi. I've been planning to tint my car for the summer and really don't know if I should go 20% or 35% but leaning towards 35. Do you guys have any pics of your cars with 35% tint that you can show? That would be great.

Also for those of you that live in Cali, do you just tint your rear half of the car (not including drive and front passenger windows)?

:mardi:

Update: After doing some research online, a lot of people say for the tsx you need something called moleskin to prevent the tint from getting scratched. Should I really worry about that and do all of you guys actually have it?

here is a 2nd gen with 35% llumar patriot film all around. can get better pic tomo but as you can see it needs to a lot darker. windshield doesnt have any tint but side windows are 35....if you have a state that will allow id go 20 or even 15.

prolly keep rear windshield around 30 or so just to keep driving and backing up at night easy.

That's 35%? Are you sure? It seems so light!

I know I'm craving to lowering it. But 2 things, 1) undecided weather to get BC Racing BR Type or Tiens ( the new ones that the brown accord did a review on here)coilovers ,2) FUNDS! Just did a road trip to DC and NYC (on a rental not my TSX). Was in need of a vacation and it was vaca. Or coils.

I'm thinking of doing 50% all around except front windshield, is it even worth doing? lol btw im in Cali too :fro:
the answer to that is obviously no!

i originally got 35% on my car and it just didnt look right. got it taken off and put 20% on. looks way better, plus 35% doesnt really give you any privacy which is the top reason people get it (also heat blocking)

if you live in an area and your worried about cops, get 35%. i have only been pulled over once in 8 years for 20% and that was because it was a cop who obviously needed his quota because he saw a nice car and knew he could get money out of it. and funny thing was it was a city cop and not the infamous state troopers we have here in ohio. they seem to approve of it by lack of pulling me over haha

$30 more in installers pocket... that's the only thing gained in that transaction... nothing for you...
