Whats the difference between this and the pa15-hon3?

Not sure what the difference is with the pa15-hon3, I've only dealt with the pa15-hon2

I did a simple google search, and it seems they're for different vehicles. That's all I really got...maybe someone can add more.

this is what i got from a user off another acura forum

"they work with different cars. All of the USA Spec PA15-XXX boxes are the same. the hon2/hon3/acuxl have different harnesses and different software to work with a specific radio.

most issues can be fixed with changing dip switch settings an the info can be worked through with a call to their tech support"

For some reason the Hon2 is cheaper than the Hon3 on Amazon...:dunno:

hmm when I plug my car info in it says I need a hon3. I wonder if it matters depending if you have nav or non nav maybe?

FYI, I didn't have a navi, just the stock radio

I believe there was a difference for those that had 06-08. Those USA Spec kits could display music info on the info display.

yeah i owned a 2008 and it displayed the text, not sure on the other models. Thanks for the info

I emailed USA spec, they told me hon2 is for nav models.
