I bought an 04. The week before I bought it, someone took it for a test drive, and the A/C never kicked on. He had the compressor replaced, and it works just fine as far as I know. But I only tested it before I bought it, and its winter in Colorado.

But anyways, the car had 124k miles when the A/C went out.

Thats not a headache! Thats light maintenance! LOL. It could be WAY worse. Dont give up hope.

Originally posted on first page, a few years ago. 40k miles later (166k), and my AC cut out on a road trip. It would kick back on randomly. Found that if I tap the compressor with a screwdriver, it will kick on. Going to look into field coil replacement and shimming the clutch/pulley, when I get home.
