When AC button is pressed, navigation screscreen says "please operate climate controls while engine is started" it says this anytime you press the AC button. Radiator fans do not kick on, temp reading on dash reads "--", does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

maybe try disconnecting the battery and see if that resets anything

Did that already, just lost the error code light that came on when
Everything went kapoot and never came back.

Check connections to the disc drive. I noticed when I was diagnosing a separate problem that if the disc drive is not connected properly it can cause problems w the ac controls.

What I would do is download the tech manual. It has step by step procedures to diagnose the problem. If its something you can fix, then great. If not, you get to sound like a smart consumer when you take it to a car shop.
