Hello this is my first post on this site. I just got my 2005 Acura tsx i noticed if i am going up hill the water temperature goes past half but if i am on a regular hi-way it stays cool way below half what could be the problem:tear:?? HELP!

Hey acurajamaica, it sounds like your thermostat may be bad. It supposed to open and close at specific temperatures to maintain a "within normal operating temperature" range. Since your car works harder going up a hill, it increases the coolant temperature, but if the coolant temperature gauge rises, your thermostat isn't opening up in time, which would increase the coolant temperature.

A secondary problem may be your fans. Make sure your engine fans are also working.
