Interesting to see that Sun is into this. Do you know much about the company's involvement with this kind of thing?
My, Larchmont, what sharp eyes you have.

I'm afraid I know nothing about Sun's involvement with SCCA entries. The most informative thing I could find was this press release: http://www.restartcommunications.com/2003 releases/oct30_1.htm

Sun's sponsorship is not too surprising, though. It's a big company, and I usually don't hear about these sponsorships unless I search for them. Here's an example of what I found: http://www.sun.com/980310/sunyacht/

In the automotive field the Sun-McLaren collaboration has probably had the most press coverage. More information can be found in a list of selected auto industry customers at http://www.sun.com/products-n-solutions/automotive/css.html

Very interesting. I see they do yachts too! :donno: :D

Appreciated especially the first one, which is about the driver, Matt Plumb. He did very well last year, was "Rookie of the Year," finished 2nd at Lime Rock (5th this year). All we've been talking about on the TSX boards is Pierre Kleinubing (which of course makes sense), but Matt Plumb is definitely someone to watch.

The amount of technology involved in yacht racing (particularly the America's Cup) is pretty amazing.

Yup.

Matt Plumb has his own web site at http://www.plumbracing.com/, but there's nothing in it. As today's youngsters would say, he "gets mad props for driving, but prolly sucks at teh internet."
