Greetings, my 2009 TSX has an engine oil leak that I do not know the exact location of. I am not well versed in engine bay anatomy and so I have some pictures that I have been studying to search for the problem.

I know the leak is somewhere above the oil pan, so the oil pan appears to be fine. I was hoping this was a simple fix. Maybe an o-ring or a missing screw somewhere underneath..

^^ especially down low and on the backside of the engine. Small oil seepage can get carried around from the air passing under your car as you drive. Clean it with a degreaser or brake clean (cold engine!!) and check periodically to find the point(s) of origin.

[UPDATE] please see my other post on mot being able to go over 5000 rpms. thank you.

It appears my oil leak had something to do with my speed limitations. I finally ran into a video on youtube by speedkar99 and another by Scotty Kilmer talking about the same engine oil leak on the backside of the engine on the passenger side. The leak was a combination of a bad valve cover gasket and a vtec solenoid. The rubber inside the solenoid had lost all structural integrity and got stuck to the engine block. I got the new solenoid from a salvage yard and I can speed again. There are at least teo variations of this solenoid for this backside solenoid. Check how many screws you have and look for that exact piece.

If anybody just needs a new seal this is the part number from onlinehondaparts. This is part number #6 from the spool valve filter assembly. VIEW THE DIAGRAM CAREFULLY.
