I have a 2009 TSX, and when I turned it on a few days ago, it made a higher-than-usual pitched noise when starting. It's not the engine, but I don't know if it's the alternator or some other component. It gets louder when I accelerate. Also, the Passenger Airbag Off light keeps flashing on and off while driving. It's driving me insane, and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Many times a high pitched squeal comes from the serpentine belt. The belt can stretch or become glazed. Other causes is a serpentine belt tensioner getting worn and no longer provides the necessary tension to your belt. And on a lesser note a bearing in one of your pulleys may be going bad. I would check your belt to see if it has stretched (wear indicator arrow on tensioner is out of range) or is cracked or glazed. It may need replacing.
