Well, today was a swell day....I was driving my CR-V on the local roads home from church and a lady in a Corolla cut me off and made me hit a curb at around 40mph. I cracked and bent my rim and my right side alignment is off too. Its drivable, but it tends to move to the right a bit now! I am upset!

How much to fix the alignment and fix the rightside control bar, since I assume its bent! So far this year has been terrible for me and now this...argh!!! :soapbox: :bawling:

Sorry to hear about that! Just wanted to say that wheel doesn't look very safe to drive on. I would suggest putting the spare on until you get it replaced.

DAMN :jeffy: check ebay for a cheap replacement. An alignment will run you about $50-$75

AMEN to that. and good that your transaxle/suspension didn't get fecked up.

BTW, why is it necessary for ya to keep 2 ordinary cars ? I never understood that.

The CR-V has a full-size spare tire mounted on the tailgate.

I took my CR-V to Autotire the other day and had it checked and repaired. The rim needed to be replaced cuz it had a large crack and was bent (as seen in the pictures) and the lower control arm needed to be replaced as well. The control arm was bent pretty bad, the right side wheel was off about two inches compared to the left wheel. They used the Hunter Alignment device, which was very accurate.

The total repair, parts, and labor came out to be $700!!! eek!!!

I guess I will be more aware of other drivers around me and be extra cautious cuz of this..argh!
