Hey guys,

my dad trimmed the tree this on the weekend so i thought hey, what better thing to do with the spare wood than to make a shiftknob! After a couple of days of shaping, sanding staining and tapping a brass insert, ive got a custom made shiftknob..and its even slightly countersunk! let me know what you guys think!

After sanding and shaping

I agree,though then I would have had to be a lot more specific regarding matching the color, because I feel like it would look off if it didn't match. Thanks though guys!

A couple of days, 3 coats of stain which I let dry for about 10 hours each took up alot of the time

Not sure how it works in the states, but over here you can get fined if your knob doesn't have the gear pattern on it.

no such law that i know of in the USA

Nor in Canada, most aftermarket knobs don't have the pattern. Hey I've got a beer tap too! Haha, bud light though
