Hey guys what’s up? So I have an 06 tsx 6mt. I have DC headers and AEM intake…. So I’m just about to send me ecu out and I’m coming across some threads that I’m going to most likely run rich if I get the reflash? WTF!!!!?? I’m kinda bummed it says strictly on the time that it’s made for Headers and intake type of shit. Well I have that and now I’m like?????? Is that only if I’m running a hi flow exhaust? Because I’m running stock exhaust still. ? And I do not plan on changing that to much may take a resonator out but that’s about it. Any help or suggestions? I’m out of NORTHER NEVADA TOO ANY ONE OUT THIs WAY? Lemme know I don’t have no body that enjoys tuners in my circle as I do? Thanks and happy new year!

We've had the Hondata reflash on our 2006 6mt TSX for 8 or 10 years.

It's never run rich, no change in fuel economy. You won't notice any power gains or change in driveability.
You will notice the VTEC cam changeover point at about 5000 rpm rather than 6000 rpm.
And you will have to run 91+ octane fuel at all times with the reflash due to the increased timing curve with the reflash.

Before you do anything, even if you had the Acura ECU recall completed on your TSX, remove the ECU, remove the ECU cover and inspect it closely for any corrosion on the ECU printed circuit board.
The ECU comes out fairly easily.

I honestly don't recommend the Hondata reflash unless you have a local Hondata dealer who can locally reflash your car.
Sending your ECU, key and immobolizer to Hondata is no longer a good option.
If you don't have a local Hondata dealer, I would contact LittleBo for his remote reflash option.
It has better reviews than the Hondata reflash, cheaper and so much easier.

IMO, the best option is Hondata FlashPro, but you will need to find a 2007-08 ECU.
2007-08 auto trans ECU's are super cheap and will work but you will lose reverse gear lockout on a manual trans TSX.
The 2007-08 manual trans ECU is rare and very pricey.
But FlashPro provides the best programmer with the most options. You can grow with it as you continue to mod your TSX.
You can get a custom ECU tune with FlashPro.
If you ever sell your TSX, you can unlock your FlashPro and remove your 2007-08 ECU and sell them to get most of your money back.

Okay so thanks a lot for your info!! So are you saying I can get a 0708 ECU and if I put it in I will lose reverse lockout so what does that mean I have to hold it in reverse? Lol? Do you have any sites that you would recommend me purchasing a ECU that’s unlocked? I try to get in contact little bo but I guess he’s an active on Facebook or Instagram or whatever until further notice I guess he’s taking a little break or something. But I appreciate your feedback.

2007-2008 automatic ECU’s eliminate reverse lockout. The manual ECUs work perfectly. All lockout does is prevent you from accidentally going into reverse instead of 6th, for example. It’ll hold once you get into reverse.
