From what I remember the pressure plate needs to come off to get the trans to come out.
Yes, you have to remove the pressure plate and therefore clutch disc to get the gearbox out. I also had the pleasure of changing my transmission shortly after a new clutch.... just out something soft under the car to catch the disc because it will fall out in a hurry.Getting the Euro-R ASP3 trans and wanting to try this way this time. I recently changed the clutch and I don’t want to pull the subframe again.
Is it necessary to remove the clutch to gain clearance as I’d rather not if possible. Thanks!
