I thought it was related to the dropped ride height and camber settings the prior owner enjoyed with his aftermarket coilovers and control arms, but a change of tires and return to stock suspension parts and settings only diminished the hydroplaning tendency about 1/2. Still likes to float along during heavy rain. Any ideas?

My only thought(s) are that you’re driving too aggressively or your tires suck. I’ve driven through everything short of a tornado and I’ve never come even remotely close to hydroplaning. I don’t believe any component to the car other than tires would have any contribution either.

Pirelli Cintauro sucks in the rain... won't even take off without spinning. I put on Continental Pure Contact LS and they are magnificent. I used Tire Racks testing videos and made my decision from that. Other than that, she handles great in the rain at 75 her turns are precise but has a slight body roll though.
