has anyone been having ignition problems? my 05 at tsx has been starting up kind of slowly, takes a good 2-3 seconds to start up. the car has been broken in with a 1000 miles now, but its still doing it. im thinking about taking it back to the dealership but im wondering if its something i should be worried about?

Well I had some minor problems, but it was all battery related, my dad replaced the battery w/ Acura, and it starts fine now, attcually kinda disapointed he let acura replace it would of liked to drop a better/lighter battery in there...oh well
hrmm so it has to do with the battery..last week my car wouldnt even turn over..took like 3 tries
on a few occasions, upon starting up the car, i find that it takes a little longer for the engine to start.

usually, it'll take maybe a second for the engine to start. but the lag i sometimes experience would take about 3 seconds. i notice this because it feels as if the car is struggling to start up.

it's only happened to me twice, but it's enough to make me wonder what the cause may be.

weird, because i only have about 700km's on it...

if you read your quick start guide it says the car sometimes takes more time to start because its doing that on purpose to reduce emissions

aahh....

cool, thanks man.

never read the quick start guide.
Seeing as they are so simple to operate it is no surprise that many people often take their cars' function for granted. A simple turn of the key and you can be on your way to Anywhere, USA by pushing a few pedals with your feet and keeping a grip on a steering wheel.

It may come as a surprise that there is much more than meets the eye when it comes to the systems that keep cars safe and running in a reliable manner. One of the most important operational systems of any vehicle is the starting system. There are quite a few components to this system and if any of them are unable to operate or if they malfunction the vehicle will not be able to start.
