I've been running the beta version of iOS7 on my iPhone 5 for a couple of months and had no issues with the USB connection.
With the imminent release of the production version of iOS7 my phone updated and is now on what appears to be the full release. Immediately after this update my phone no longer connects via the USB. The head unit displays unsupported version, even though it worked on the betas.

I have a 2010 TSX 4cyl with tech package.

Wait for the official ios7 launch on Wednesday.
I also have a 2010 TSX with the Tech package and updated to the final IOS 7 release last night (Wed) on my iPhone 5 and have the same issue.
If you do more searching online you will see that a few other cars have this issue as well but it looks like most 2012-2013 cars are working. I have a bad feeling it will be left up to the car manufacturers to fix the issue meaning that IOS7 will never work with the 2010 Acuras.
What gets me is that degreesix said he has been running the beta for a while and the usb issue didn't occur until the final release/update which means that they never bothered to test the modified usb code before final release.
Only reason I have the iPhone is for car compatibility so this sucks.

Update:
So, I had to leave my office to run to a clients and hopped in my car and by habit plugged my phone in and it worked.
I have no idea what changed so I will list what actions i took between it not working and it working.
1) updated last night and went to sleep
2) first try in car on way to work, got unsupported error. Unplugged and then plugged it back in and still same error.
3) tried to make phone call and HandsFree was not comming up. Checked phone and bluetooth was turned off. turned it back on and still no connection. Turned car off and back on (was sitting in traffic)
Bluetooth connected.
4)Made call then tried Bluetooth audio, that worked.
5)Got to office and brought up my Macbook and prepared to downgrade to IOS6. Had to update iTunes so that it would read phone, plugged phone in but did not sync, downloaded IOS6 firmware and then had to leave the office before downgrade.
6) Hopped in my car and plugged phone in, hit the AUX button and it came right up. Controls work and everything seems to be functioning as normal. Even after stopping and restarting the car it still works.

*Shrugs* No idea but hope yours starts to work as well.

forgive me for i'm a bit lost... so in short, you dumped iOS7 and went back to iOS6 to be able to use bluetooth & USB connectivity? I want to know coz I'm still on iOS6 and contemplating on updating to iOS7

He explained how he planned on downgrading to iOS6 but never got the time to and when he went back to his car after updating iTunes on his computer with the phone plugged in it worked.

This is correct. I never downgraded, just plugged the phone into my MacBook. Guess I should also mention that I updated to iOS 7 wirelessly on my phone, so when I had to update iTunes was the first time the phone was connected to the laptop since update.

i've had no issues with my iphone 5 with official release ios 7, works just fine on my 2013 base tsx.

actually, i used to have an issue where if i was bluetooth streaming music, and made a phone call, it would switch sound to the phone and i'd have to manually reenable hands free on my phone. with the update i no longer have that issue =)

bluetooth still work fine for phone and audio

Just to clarify. I never lost Bluetooth connectivity for phone or audio services.

It's just the USB cable connection that no longer works.

I listen to books on tape using audible all the time and I typically plug the phone in to charge so I run the audio through it as well. USB shows me track info on the display where the Bluetooth plays fine but doesn't give any handy on screen info.

It's not that big of a deal but I want it to work.

Let me know if anyone comes up with a solution and I'll post here as well once I get it figured out.

I am sad to inform you all that there is an issue with ios7 making our devices waterproof as claimed. Mine will not turn on anymore.
you forgot to read the fineprint at the bottom. you need to put it inside a sealed plastic bag first.

IOS7 update

Two updates -

I downloaded the audible app to test it vs. loading the books directly on the iPhone. The audible app works with the USB but the music app and pandora do not. Then my son plugged his phone in and it worked just fine. Odd, but it makes me think that there is something wrong with my iPhone config.

second, I got my 5S in the mail Tuesday and rather than restoring a config from my backup I decided to set this new phone up from scratch. It works fine on all apps with the USB port.

So my conclusion is that there was a problem with the config on my phone that caused the issue and that IOS7 is not the culprit.

Unfortunately IOS7 doesn't make the iPhone 5 waterproof. it only makes the 3GS waterproof. but that subject belongs in a different thread than this one.

I'm thinking this could be the issue with my car. I have a 2012 tsx SE. Prior to the update, Bluetooth worked amazing. Now my controls on the steering wheel no longer can change songs whether it's pandora or iPod. The controls still work in regards to volume and mode but nothing for channel. Anyone have any advice?

Discovered yesterday that when i try connecting my iPhone 4s (ios 7.03) with USB cable it gives me the "Unsupported ver" error message on the stereo display in my '13 tsx (nontech).

Are we gonna have to wait for an Apple update or Acura/Honda to provide a fix or this??
