I picked up my new TSX last weekend! I was looking for a 6 Speed w/NAVI, Satin Silver/Ebony... I emailed every internet manager at Acura within 200 miles of me. Several dealerships told me that there was only one in all of Florida with the options & colors that I wanted, and one of them even slipped up and told me which dealership had it. Armed with this info, I sent an email to that dealership letting them know that I was ready to purchase today for $27675 + tax, tag, & title (NO DEALER FEES). That's exactly $500 over invoice. To my surprise, I got a reply from them within an hour letting me know that they would accept my offer! It was almost too easy! They even shopped my financing, and beat my credit union's APR of 4.5%!

I've been scanning this forum for a couple of months now, trying to make the decision of which car to go with and have found it very helpful. My choice was between the TSX, and the Nissan Altima SE-R. I actually looked at the Altima first, and I really liked it. It had great power (260hp), and a sweet sounding exhaust. Then, I went to look at the TSX, and there was just no comparison in terms of quality, construction, and ride quality. Yea, the Altima had plenty of power, and would blow the doors off of the TSX, but that was it. The Altima was just plain cheap looking in comparison. I think I've actually "grown up" in that power just isn't as important anymore. By the way, my previous car was a 99 Civic Si which I just sold after owning for 6 years - It was a fun, quick car, but as I said, I've "grown-up" and needed something more comfortable.

I absolutely love the car so far... just gotta learn all the features of the NAVI :newbie:

Congrats and welcome to the club! I also just got rid of my 2000 honda civic si for my new 6 sp TSX wtih nav. Obviously no comparision between the two in terms of refinement (althought the si was a good car). Just yesterday I looked at the Altima SER and wondered why I never considered it? What are your impressions and why specifically did you choose the TSX? Funny, I am moving from Wisconsin to Orlando in a few months :grinno:

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Psydoc - After looking at the TSX, there was just comparison in quality, ride, and feel vs. the SE-R. The ONLY thing the altima had to it's advantage was the power. Besides, how many altimas do you see on the road everyday? Too many! Also, the SE-R isn't available with NAVI, which wasn't really important as I wasn't planning on getting it - but after reading everyone's regrets on here, I chose to splurge a little bit... didn't want any regrets of my own! By the way, I live in Orlando... what's bringing you to this side of the country?

I've modded the heck out of my past cars... I always have to personalize some how, but for the TSX, I'm thinking that I'll keep them to a minimum. Here's what I have in mind:

M3 Lip Spoiler
Eibach Pro-Kit suspension package (springs & shocks)
18X8 wheels (Can't tell anyone which ones until I get them)
Euro-R body kit w/fogs
Comptech Ice Box Intake
Comptech Header
Hondata ECU re-flash
Possibly upgrade factory speakers

I think I'll be happy with that 1blue1.gif

Kris, my wife got her doctoral residency in Florida and I am starting work as a Neuropsychologist at Orlando Regional Medical Center in July. I also splurged on the Navi and I don't regret it one bit. Anyhow, we're moving to Errol Estates in Apopka. Heard of it? Glad to hear that the SER wasn't that great overall cause it does look pretty cool. Enjoy the TSX, I know I have. Two people gave me thumbs up today (one was in a V6 accord). I finally hit 1000 miles last weekend and let the engine sing a bit. Fun!

I didnt get the navi on mine not really by choice. My top priorty was it having the 6mt,and white or black with parchment interior. I called about 10 dealers and no one had a 6mt in white/black, very few 6mt for that matter. I was really 50/50 about the navi. They are real nice to have, but its just one more thing that can break. Plus, I figured at the time if I was going to put an extra 2 grand in the car would I want wheels or the navi.
