I have a 2011 with about 14k miles and I noticed today that my driver's seat is developing a small hole in the leather in the perforated portion. I do not put things in my back pockets so it is not anything like that causing it. Is this just normal wear and tear? I have just ordered a seat cushion to put in my seat, but I am annoyed that I have to now sit on some lame cushion.

I have an 07 that has wear on the drivers side, I don't want it to rip, is there anyone how has put a quality cover over the seat to prevent wear/damage? I don't like the idea that I need a cover but if it helps with the wear then I'm all for it. Thanks for the help.

Have to say I am quite disappointed with the quality of the leather seats in the TSX. My 09 has 86,000 kms (53,000 miles) on it and the driver seat looks pretty bad. I treat and clean the seats on a regular basis and i can't believe how worn they are. My previous car was a 2005 Altima V6 SE with leather and I had 200,000 kms (125,000 miles) when I traded it for the TSX and the seats still looked like the day the car was delivered to me. Even my wife's 09 Civic EX-L seats look much better than mine and she has more miles on t than the TSX.

I think the quality is lacking and I'm a bit surprised being an Acura.

i bought a used 2010 with 67,000mi and the leather still looks like brand new. i guess they're not consistent with the quality of materials they used (leather). i think if cleaners, protectants and conditioners cant help, the best bet we got are seat covers.
