Locked out of stereo after replacing battery

I was running on the original battery and it finally gave out on me so I got a new battery and when it swapped them out and turned my car back on it locked me out of the stereo and clock. It's asking for a code. I bought this car used a couple years ago and there is no serial number or code for the stereo anywhere in the car. Is my only option to take it to the dealer?

Check the glove box. The code should be on the left side (outside) of the glove box. You can see it from the driver side if you pull down the glove box.
If it's not there. Check the manual books and stuff. There might be a sticker with the code or it'll be somewhere. If not, you'll have to go to your dealer and get the code by VIN or serial number of the deck. It should be free.
You can just show up at the service department with your registration and they will tell you your code. They use your car's VIN number to find the code. Try calling them first. They might tell you over the phone what it is.
If you'd had any work done at the dealer in the past look at the invoice/work order. Its sometimes has it on there. Seen it on mine.GL.
Under hood fuse box, you will find the code of the inside of the cover.
