so on my way to work last night i got pulled over (i havent been pulled over in over 4 years) for my exhaust. The cop asked so many stupid questions like:
-why did i put HONDA on the back
-why did i change my exhaust
-what's the purpose of the wrap
-were my stock hids blown

He even checked my vin number because of the honda badges. At the end he came back to my car and just tossed my documents and the ticket on my lap and said "nothing you haven't seen before", and he walked away.

I am most likely just going to go to court and ask for a lesser fine, unless someone knows a way around this? He did not use a decibel reader or even ask me to hold a rev at 3000 rpm. But if i do fight it I know i'll be sent up to their headquarters in Aurora, meaning i would have to put back on a stock exhaust.

Any input would be helpful!

Then again, the other guys have a point about just paying it than wasting time and more money to fight it, depending on the fine.

FIGHT IT!!!!! And more so seek very actively disciplinary actions against the pig! Immediately start writing letters to the highest level until someone takes him aside and clips his porky wings. Do not pay it under any condition. There is NO WAY he can win this in court, just none. Zero. You got my support on this! If anything, then at least moral. Do not bow down to this crap. We pay their salaries and they MUST behave. What's this "throw the ticket at your lap and cheesy comments". Damn. I am utterly allergic to folks who use their institutional association as a power lever to put down other folks, especially when it is the same folks that PAY their freaken salaries and are supposed to be protected by them. Geez. DO NOT PAY IT, and don't take this crap!!!!
My insurance increases for ANY minor ticket on record, even zero points completely illogical once like this muffler ones. You are NOT guilty and thus cannot be convicted. He can write tickets until his hand goes numb, but you are NOT guilty thus this cannot hold up in court. Just remember that!

Prepare, dress nice, PRACTICE what you will say so that you don't stutter too much (although it's not a big deal). Justice of peace folks are very fair and real and will assess it properly. And believe me once you win it, it's going to be the best day ever! It feels great! I once won a 6 pointer ticket in the cops face! He looked at me in court after the hammer went down and i was FREE to go and there was disbelief all over his face. I was about 18 at the time and all he could say is "get out of here". LOL. FIGHT IT. You are NOT guilty! The satisfaction is worth every dollar if you do it yourself.
