Thanks for the input. You don't think it would be overkill if I blacked out the chrome? I was thinking about it as well but I'm not too sure how it would look.

Idk if I could do matte black. Just make the car look like its going to rust. The chrome doesn't flow with the theme of the car.

I'll take a better picture tomorrow from the side the sun hits it... I think this picture just makes the chrome look really shitty. I'll post another picture tomorrow and I want your input!

if you go w a flat black theme...you gotta do it throughout or the car looks confused. With that said, did you rattle can the paint job? reason i ask is because there is overspray lines on the hood.

how did you get the glow down near the fog lights?

Yep, it's PlastiDip. This was because I didn't want to spend the time on Vinyl wrapping the whole car without knowing how it would look. With that being said I now want to Vinyl wrap my roof, hood and trunk only and leave the side's the original colour. As for the glow near the fog lights... I have 3 LED strips on each side. The two top ones on both sides stay on with the HID's. The bottom one on both sides is off but will flash with my signal lights.

I have done all the work on the car myself in my garage so it's not completely amazing but I also don't think it's horrible.

Thanks for the replies!

IMO finish the look and debadge the acura and tsx emblems, black out all the chrome and yes even the grille, paint the center caps black and then get a lime green BBK. Thats just my opinion if I was going to matte black the car. Oh and lower it ASAP! Everything else looks great so far though. GL

EDIT: just read your last post, the chrome will look good if you just vinyl the roof, hood and trunk. Def lower it and get the jdm grille, hood trim, and badges.

Thanks! I'm %80 sure I'm going to do the Vinyl. I would love to lower it as well but I live in a city where potholes are everywhere and it sucks hearing all the cars that are lowered scrape the ground. I cringe everytime I hear it lol. What is the hood trim by the way?

Dont do lime green on stock calipers, that just cheapens the look. Do them black to not attract attention to them.

How many cans of plsti dip did you use on the whole car? How many coats?

I also recommend blacking out (plasti dip) all of the chrome. Get a badgeless Mugen or knockoff grill from e-Bay and make the grill matte black also.

The chrome piece on the hood that you only find on the 04-05 tsx. And I understand what your saying about the potholes but you can still lower it a few inches and be fine...you don't necessarily have to dump it to make it look better. Just my 2cents.

After finally using Plastidip and seeing what the finish is like, I'm really not a fan of it, especially on the exterior. It looks like you've got a really old car that's lost all it's clear coat, and I don't like the feel of it either. It feels like it would grab a lot of dirt. I think vinyl is a much better choice. The pic with just the hood done looks a lot better than the one with the whole car done.

There's a better picture but still that's using my phone.

Also it took about 12 cans. I'm thinking the same thing about peeling it all off and just vinyl wrapping the hood, roof and trunk. Only problem is I have never done vinyl jobs so I'm not sure how hard it is to do.
