Looks like Honda is still saving the best goodies for the home market (JDM) Accord under a grouping called HIDS.

Based on my interpretation of their Japanese site, they offer both Intelligent Cruise Control (IHCC) that slows and speeds up based on distance parameters.

And a lane change avoidance device (LKAS). Similar to a feature Infinity expects to debut here in the US soon.

I believe the IHCC function is replicated/inspired by Mercedes' S class "sonar guided speed cruise control". The function controls the distance apart between the front and rear vehicle. Automatic deceleration/braking and acceleration is applied to maintain a safe distance at all speeds.

Recall? I don't think so.

There's also a cool JDM feature we don't get, and that is the HID corner/movement beam. Basically allows the HID beam to move in direct being turned for better corner/angle visiblity. Now that'll be a nifty feature.
